Catch up on remarks delivered at the event marking the launch of OmniaBio Inc., a new subsidiary of CCRM. Held on March 31, 2022, the event brought speakers and guests together to celebrate at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario, where the new biomanufacturing facility will be located. OmniaBio will be the first project to be funded by the Government of Ontario via the Invest Ontario Fund, receiving a loan of up to $40 million to enable the construction of a 250,000 ft2 (23,225 m2) contract development and manufacturing organization for cell and gene therapies. Projected to grow to ∼400,000 ft2 (37,161 m2) and employ 2,000 people by 2026, the facility will be Canada’s largest specializing in cell and gene therapies.
